After the crash the ship was listing badly and the climb onto the deck a struggle. She just got on deck in time to see the only lifeboat crash into the water and capsize, seconds later a huge wave carried her over the side. She seemed to be going down forever, her heavy clothes which kept her so warm now restricted her movement and held her beneath the waves. The icy water sapped her strength and the salt water stung her eyes and nose. Then, just when she felt she was lost, she was somehow free of coat that held her down and her strength was returning. Her eyes were still blurred with the salt water but she could make out a boat, swimming towards it she could see the pale outstretched hand of her rescuer....
