Life and DeathI entered the chapel and was greeted by absolute silence- but this was no ordinary silence. In ordinary silence there is some sound: the ticking of a clock, the drone of machinery, air circulating through a room. This was the sort of silence in which all sound was absorbed, like a vacuum. I couldn't even hear myself breathe as I looked for signs of life. None greeted me.
I waited for a moment and then took a tentative step forward. The resulting explosion of noise from that single footfall gave me pause to consider whether I wanted to go on. I steeled myself and pressed onward.
Deafened by the thunderous sound of my own footfalls, I scurrie

Twitter-pattedI cant help
But smile
As me heart
Starts pounding
I get joy
From seeing him
I laugh
And giggle
And blush
A shy smile
Creeps onto
My face
A laugh
Escapes
my throat
And it
Lightens
My mood
Considerably
I am
What they call
Twitter-patted
With a kid
Who hangs with
A vampire

TechnicolourI am sixteen and twenty days. The sky is bleak and the sweet December wind that comes in through the half open window carries snowflakes and a wonderful scent of burning wood to cover that of acrylic and oil paint. Fathers funeral had been nearly a year prior yet my mother still cannot come to terms with it. It is Wednesday and I have not yet gone to school this week. My sock clad feet were cold; the cement did not take retain heat and the small heater in the corner is no match against the sweet December chill. My not-quite-canvas clothing is warm and rough against my skin.
A radio is playing: a fast, bright electronic beat of throbbin

The Woeful River Of SoulsI can see you in my mind's eye.
Doomed, to a Secondhand existence.
Come to me, little one, I'll help you...
I'll take you away.
Across the River Styx,
I'll lead you to your happy doom.
Come to Me, I can still see you.
And, you know of Me...
I am the one the Full Moon whispers of.
You can see Me in your mind's eye.
Now, come to me,
I'll take you away,
Across the River Acheron.
I'll lead you to your tragic doom.
