My latest picture got rejected for prints! I got permission from the stock artists but forgot to ask them to e-mail prints-permissions@deviantart.com! When we communicate via dA mail it seems a total bind to ask someone to sent a e-mail. Well I bet lots of you don't bother asking the stock artist to sent the e-mail as well, so take note, it you don't your print will get rejected. Please don't sent be links to the rules of anything like that, I know what they are and I know it was my fault!
Thank you to everyone who faved Water Spirit, I really appreciate your support and am really sorry I can't thank everyone individually. I spent seven hours yesterday doing thank yous and only got through a small percentage of the 2500 messages I had.
V6
At first I totally hated v6! I don't hate it any more but I'm not particularly impressed either! The biggest gain seams to be for non-subscribed uses who now have the much improved message handling, doesn't really seem much improved for us subscribers though. I much preferred the deviations sorted my artist, the new sort by artist is bugged and doesn't work. Also, since I watch many stock artists and clubs that submit large numbers of deviations in v5 you could view what to wanted then delete everything with two clicks now you have to delete each deviation individually, just more time consuming and worse. I also miss having 25 massages at the same time and having them time stamped. I'm not keen on everything together although being able to view messages in reverse order is really good. under the old system some on my messages used to get buried for weeks! Speed wise it's ok with firefox although I would have preferred it a little quicker. Last nigh though when firefox started playing up like it always does after I've had it all all day, I switched to IE and it was so slooooow! If you are using IE and find it deathly slow, switch to firefox!
Contests:
!
cryptic-sacrifice is running an awesome "Twisted Tales" contest. It is open to all digital work, has great prizes and doesn't have any stock use restrictions so it should be very easy for everyone to make an entry. She doesn't have a lot of entries at the moment so please go take a look! I've copies the rules and prizes below!
One example of a Twisted Tale is Shrek, Im sure you have all seen it. A beautiful princess waiting for her knight in shining armor to come and save her. Instead of a knight, she gets an ogre (but the ogre happens to be a lot more kind hearted then the prince. Never judge a book by its cover)! ^_^
Rules:

Only one artwork per artist.

Can only be in DIGITAL ART form: 3D, paintings and airbrushing, mixed media and photomanipulation.

You must put in the description of your artwork that its for this contest, and explain how it suits the theme of Twisted Tales.

Must be a NEW artwork, especially made for this contest.

poor u !i don't mind if u don't answer, better use your time for your personal stuff!
and keep up the good work! ^^
With the new message center, I'm sure they'll fix the view deviations by artist soon enough. I do love how it adds a new one to the bottom when you remove one on the page, saves having to reload the page. Also, if you hold shift and drag you can highlight multiple messages/deviations then go down to the bottom and remove all selected
Also, my gripes are the same as yours with V6. I feel like the way the new devs are displayed looks like a single file parade...a very long line of thousands that I have to look at one at a time.
separate them please!!!
hope you are having a good day Derek
Hope you have a good day too!
